What we offer

Enjoy an AIR CONDITIONED, furnished, 1000 sq.ft., One Bedroom House with a large bath, large tiled walk in shower as well as an extra outdoor shower.  The house has a full kitchen, full size refridgerator/freezer, gas range, microwave, blender, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils, etc. A clothes washing machine, charcoal grill and bookshelf CD stereo are also provided. Beach towels and chairs too!

To add to the atmosphere, there is a kiva fireplace in the living room. No fires please. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. The house can sleep four comfortably.The large bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has a double sofa sleeper. There is also a built in couch and loveseat that can sleep two more if need be, in an L shape, by just moving a cushion. Guests will also be provided with shampoo and soap for showers to last their first several days. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there waiting for you.

Add to that, two quality inflatable kayaks and life vests at the house.

 Beach access is out the front gate and a short walk down. The waters edge is about 175 yds. from the house.

Please note, we reccommend bottled water for drinking and cooking. Guests are provide with 15 gallons of purified drinking water at the house. After that, bottled water can be purchased at the nearest mercado, a mile and a half from the house.

Rates and Terms

There is a FOUR NIGHT MINIMUM required.

Nights 1 thru 4              $99.00 U.S.  per night

Nights 5 thru 21            $69.00 U.S.  per night.

Plus 11% sales tax

There is a $350.00 damage/key deposit. This deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure after inspection of the house and keys are returned.

Payment

Payment can be made via money order or personal check.

A non-refundable deposit of $250.00  is required to hold a reservation.  For stays of 20 nights or more, a deposit of 20 % of the total rent will be required to hold a reservation.

The deposit must be received within 7 days of booking the reservation.

Full payment, damage and key deposit are required at least 

20 days prior to arrival.

Arrangements are easily made on short notice if the house is not

already reserved for your desired dates.

Check In/ Check Out

Check In time is after 2:30 PM

Check Out is 10:30 AM

When possible, special arrangements can be made.

Services

The house is cleaned by a maid service before entry.

There are no maid services provided during your stay.

Maid services can be provided at additional costs. For stays of four weeks or longer, maid service will be provided every two weeks at no extra charge.

Cell Phone

There is a pre-paid cell phone provided to call the property manager

if a problem should arise with the house.

 Calls made locally can also be made with that phone.

For international calls, arrangements should be made with your personal cell phone provider.

As a note, we use AT&T and that has worked fine at the house.

Note

There is no television at the house.

Sporting events and news can be seen at many of the local restuarants and bars nearby.

Hello, We're Miri and Tommy and we would like to welcome you to Mi Casa Dorado. We sincerely hope you are able to spend some time with us here in our towns of La Ventana and El Sargento. This is a unique desert/ocean/mountain paradise. We must warn you though.... Once you have been here you will start finding excuses to keep coming back!

While we would like to spend more time in Mexico, my career and our home life, for the time being, keep us north of the border more than we would like to be. So, the decision was made to share the vacation home with others by renting it out. We are glad we did. It has been a wonderful experience to hear how much people have enjoyed the house and the community.
